About

Hello everyone,

We're Susannah and Georgie, who are running ARIADNE.

WHAT IS ARIADNE?

ARIADNE is a global arts project that is working with female theatre makers around the world who are working in areas of conflict.

Our project is to meet these women, interview them, see their work and learn about why they work, how they work, and what works for them.

WHO ARE WE?

Susannah is a UK based international theatre director and BBC radio journalist, and Georgie is a UK based international film and documentary maker.

WHAT WILL WE DO?

Together we will film these encounters and create an evergrowing online resource that will provide an invaluable living archive of female theatremakers and their work. Georgie and I start our project in Rwanda and Burundi - we leave in three days' time - where we will be collaborating with Hope Azeda in Rwanda and Frédérique le Comte in Burundi.

HOW CAN WE FIND OUT MORE?

We will be regularly updating our In Place of War ARIADNE pages with information, videos, photos, blogs and general thoughts about our journey. And also on Twitter at @ProjectAriadne. Do follow us and join us on this journey!

More information very soon!

AND OUR THANKS TO...

We are very grateful to be working in association with In Place of War, and supported by the Arts Council England for the first chapter of this project.
